Every child has the right to an education that equips them in leading healthy, happy and successful futures. 

Pupil premium is government funding to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school. 

At VPJS, we believe that our strategy for spending pupil premium funding is particularly effective and we will continue with this strategy going forward. The DFE has given us the freedom to use the Pupil Premium as we see fit, based on the knowledge of our pupils’ needs and we use this funding to meet the needs of our educationally disadvantaged pupils. Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.
